Observed weather variables used for models runs forced with observed data saved as .mat files.  This consists wind direction (o), wind speed (ms^-1), air temperature (C), relative humidity (decimal), pressure (Pascals), solar radiation (Wm^-2), precipitation (mday^-1),   longwave radiation (Wm^-2) and a shared time array. These are derived from HadISD Global sub-daily, surface meteorological station data and Met Office MIDAS Open UK Land Surface Stations Data.
