The dataset includes videos and images of people. The individuals all provided informed consent to take part in the data collection and understood that the long term goal of the dataset was to make it public.
As part of our ethics statement, we stated that "Download of the data will be subject to a set of terms and conditions to prevent misuse of the data" - thus, we are obliged to retain copyright of the data and to ensure that users of the dataset are presented with simple terms reminding them that the data includes imagery of people, that this requires the data be treated with respect, and to express that the data be used within the context it was created for. I have created a LICENCE.md file which I hope expresses these requirements, and we would ask that downloaders of the dataset are presented with these terms before downloading.
