The txt files in this folder contain the results of finite difference time domain (FDTD) calculations of electric fields near a surface with inverse opal structure. The csv files contain results of COMSOL Multiphysics calculations of the same structure. FDTD results: Files with 'longitudinal' in the file name correspond to data for the longitudinal field profile (with respect to the polarisation of the incident light). Files with 'surface' in the file name correspond to data for the field profile on the surface of the nanostructure. Files with 'x' in the file name give the x-coordinates for which the simulation was performed in nanometers. Similarly for 'y' and 'z'. Files with 'modulus_E' in the file name give the calculated modulus of electric field in multiples of the modulus of the incident electric field. For the longitudinal profile, the rows correspond to different z-coordinates and the columns to different x-coordinates. For the surface profile, the rows correspond to different y-coordinates and the columns to different x-coordinates. COMSOL results: The file 'CI-1-IO - charge density.csv' contains the calculated charge density. The first three columns give the X, Y, Z coordinates. The last column gives the charge density in arbitrary units. The files 'CI-1-IO - arrows 1.csv' and 'CI-1-IO - arrows 2' contain the local electric field vectors near the edge of the inverse opal structure. The first three columns give the X, Y, Z coordinates. The remaining columns give the X, Y, Z components of the electric field vector.
