Dataset for: Performance assessment and benchmark data for chute turbine rim seals
This dataset archives all numerical values presented in ASME Turbo Expo paper GT2026-177135 and ASME Journal of Turbomachinery paper TURBO-26-1211. This includes the coordinate sets for the 2D vane and blade profiles used in the experimental rig. The measured values behind each of the 12 results figures included in the paper are included to allow reconstruction of the findings. This includes time averaged pressures, temperatures, mass flow rates, rotational speeds and gas concentration measurements. Additionally, time-resolved measurements from unsteady pressure transducers are included at a acquisition frequency of 50 kHz. The data is provided for the intention of validating numerical CFD predictions of rim seal flows. Please refer to the paper for further details.
