Dataset for "Narrowband heralded single photons via Bragg grating inscription in germanium-doped photonic crystal fiber"
This data set supports the design, build, and demonstration of a heralded single photon source. It describes the design and characterisation of a germanium-doped photonic crystal fibre fabricated at the University of Bath in which photon pairs were generated by spontaneous four-wave mixing. The data set also contains photon counting data verifying the generation of correlated pairs of photons in the fibre. It contains data underlying figures 1 to 6 in the associated publication. Specific data types include optical fibre dispersion simulation and measurement data, four-wave mixing joint spectral probability distribution, fibre Bragg grating transmission and reflection spectra, and photon coincidence counting data.
