Dataset for "Bend-strength of novel filament wound shear reinforcement"
This dataset contains the results of tensile tests reported in the paper "Bend-strength of novel filament wound shear reinforcement". The tests were conducted according to the standards ISO 527-1 and ISO 527-5 on beam specimens manufactured using filament wound fibre reinforced polymers (W-FRP), except that a 500mm specimen length was used instead of the prescribed 250mm. The mid-section of each specimen was instrumented with a uniaxial strain gauge having 6 mm gauge length. The tests were performed in displacement control at 1.0 mm/min. The results were used to calculate the 25% and the 50% of the failure load and corresponding values of strains for each tested samples, along with the modulus of elasticity.
